Abby has been training at Champions United Gymnastics Academy in New Jersey most of her gymnastics career. She earned a silver medal on the Level 8 NJ super team with a score of 38.15, and 2nd on bars and beam with a score of 9.65 and 9.4, respectively. During the 2024 State championship, she earned a silver medal on Vault and Beam with a score of 9.5 and 9.4, respectively, as well as a silver medal for AA with a score of 37.6. Being able to earn all those medals has been one of her greatest accomplishments. 

Unfortunately Abby did experience several setbacks over the past few years. In 2022 while training Level 9 skills, she sustained several consecutive ankle injuries which prevented her from competing. Then in 2023, she required knee surgery that also prevented her from advancing. While recovering and competing Level 8, she was practicing some Level 9 and 10 skills. After this minor career detour, Abby is looking forward to conquering and excelling while competing Level 10 while fully healthy.    

When she manages to find time outside of the gym she enjoys baking, jigsaw puzzles, playing with her dog, hanging with friends, traveling, and playing games with family. She is the daughter of Alla and Leon Kushnir, and sister to Isabelle Kushnir. Some of her extracurricular activities include volunteering at a food drive for her community, helping her synagogue whenever needed, and helping at the gymnastics team. On top of her 20 hours of gymnastics per week she has found time to coach Level 3 and classes at her gymnastics gym.
